2019: Year of Digital Composites & Key Art

By profession I’m an experienced Creative Retoucher and Artworker, but since working for myself I have found it increasingly important to keep picking up new skills. This is something that I often didnt have time to do in a full time job.

One of my aims for 2019 was to continually improve my Photoshop Composite arsenal. This meant spending any free time I had to practice new techniques and watch any composite tutorials I could get my hands on. After months of personal projects  I won a couple of smaller Composite & Key Art projects, swiftly followed by a further larger one for a Hollywood/Nollywood movie called Muna, directed by Kevin Nwankwor. As well as being a fantastic creative outlet it was also a great way of using my adaptive skills to take the approved Key Art elements, applying to various Social Media formats all the way through to 20ft Billboards, successfully delivering a full media campaign for the movie.

My aim for 2020 is to continually build this area of work whether its key art, key visuals for advertising campaigns or personal projects to sharpen my skillset and explore new techniques.

Personally I find composite retouch a great creative outlet as well as being a fantastic way to communicate an idea or story. If you are looking for that cinematic magic in your visual content please get intouch. Feel free to check out my key art page for my most recent work.
